KOKORO CUP 2008

The elite of European Karate will be competing during this event. They are all warriors who bring numerous medals from the championships in the old continent and one fighting with the talented competitors from Japan – heart of the Karate Kyokushin.
A visit on Bielany is an amazing occasion to see unusual sportsmen in action. In this event we take a part the master of the world from Tokio 2005 and Lucien Gogonel (Romania) the golden medallist of the Europe Championships (6-times), Alejandro Navarro (Spain) the master of Europe (3 –times), Krzysztof Habraszka multi-medallist of Europe Championships, Darmien Sadwokasow ex master of Japan, Rudolf Conquet born in Caribbean Curacao (representing Netherland), Karol Cieśluk BKKK fighter (medallist of European Championships and participant of World Championships), and Alexandre Rodrigues powerful like bison from France. This the gala will be attended by talented Polish K-1 fighters and show-surprises.
The first edition of Kokoro Cup was organized in december 2007, amassed more than one thousand people. The organizer is Bielanski Klub Karate Kyokushin, managed by sesnei Mariusz Mazur. Orginators are going to organize this gala every year. They would like this gala to be a place where the best Karate Figters could meet and fight.
The Japanese word “kokoro” is translated as “the strength of the heart”. The aim of Kokoro Cup is to build the positive image of martial arts. We would like to show, that in martial arts the real heroes are fighters with rules, who can respect opponent whatever is result of the fight. The are people who: can take care of weak people, have a very big respect to teachers, masters and parents. They are also champions of universal values like: friendship, brotherhood, tolerance, environment safety, respect for human rights and many others important elements of good behaviour.
