Alejandro Navarro from Spain won karate kyokushin tournament, and Łukasz Rambalski from Bydgoszcz won K1 formula on gala of martial arts Kokoro Cup in Warsaw AWF (Academy of Physical Education). In final after two playoffs Karol Cieśluk from Bielański Klub Kyokushin Karate was beaten by fighter from Spain and Piotr Woźnicki from Płock was knocked out by Łukasz Rambalski. More then one thousand people were witnesses to full of emotions fights (all ten Kyokushin fights adjudicate after playoffs) and many of shows, like: Brazilian Samba dance, acrobatic tricks of martial arts, fitness, and Karate Kyokushin show did by the youngest adepts of BKKK.
For Navarro triumph on Bielany was very nice crowing the best season in him carrier. In this year he got double championship of Europe – In May on weight category, and In the end of November in open tournament.– Previous years also wasn’t bad, but today I had really very good time – said nice fighter, who lives and practises Karate in Barcelona. The second editions of Kokoro Cup’s auditorium will remember him powerful punches and kicks, and unshaven chin with two long plaits.
The second most happy person in that evening was Łukasz Rambalski the winner of K-1 formula. – I won with out standing, titled boys , so my first place is very big success for me - said 25 years old fighter, the master of Latvia, in the previous year
The only one worry of organizers was injuries of fighters – Artur Szychowski went out ring with dislocated elbow joint, Sebastian Matulaniec couldn’t fight in final because he had a cut over eye, however Krzysztof Habraszka multi-medallist of European Karate championships renewed old injuries. Because of their absence on the ring in crucial moment of tournament, we could show the main organizer, president of BKKK - Mariusz Mazur, he smashed of him heel and edge of palm some of very big and hard ice lumps like in him the best young years.
The big surprise was quarter final - Petar Martinov failure in Kyokushin tournament. Four times medallist of European Championships lost with Michał Krzak – two play offs did not give answer who is better – weight decided about victory. The Pole was 17 kg lighter than Bulgarian.
Through the Kokoro Cup tournament we would like to show, that the martial arts should handed positive values such as friendship, empathy, tolerance and respect for opposite – sensei Mazur explained. For this reason, perhaps more important than sport’s result, was a politely behaviour between fighters, when they went out from the ring. They lifted each other their hands by gestures of victory and bowed with recognition to the opponent’s coach. The power of heart – kokoro – triumphed.
